Halloween Recipes For Treats Everyone Will Love

With Halloween just days away we put together a few fun Halloween inspired treats that will be enjoyed by all kids, big and small. With easy recipes, these treats are perefct for anyone to make. Try them out and send us on your pictures of how you got on.

Banana Ghosts

Steps:

  1. Melt 200g of white chocolate.
  2. Peel 4 bananas & cut them in half. Then, push a lollipop stick into each one.
  3. Use a pastry brush to coat the banana in white chocolate and sprinkle with coconut until they are covered.
  4. Place banana’s on parchment paper in a large baking tray & add eyes, a mouth & eyebrows using chocolate chips.
  5. Freeze for at least 4 hours and up to one week.

 

 

Spider Cookies

Steps:

  1. Melt 200g of either milk or dark chocolate.
  2. For the spider legs, unroll some liquorice wheels and cut them into 2-3 cm pieces.
  3. Cover an Oreo cookie with a tsp of the melted chocolate and place 8 of the liquorice legs on the cookie. Then, put another cookie on top and spread more chocolate over that cookie. Do the same for whatever number of spider cookies you wish to make and then place them somewhere cool to set.
  4. When they are ready, add the eyes by putting two large blobs of white icing on top (near the edge) of each cookie and then putting a small blob of black icing in the middle of the white icing.

 

 

Strawberry Ghosts

Steps:

  1. Melt 200g of white chocolate and stir in 1/8 teaspoon almond extract.
  2. Dip strawberries into the melted chocolate and place them on parchment paper on a large baking tray. Then add chocolate chips to the strawberries to form the eyes and place the baking tray in the freezer for 5 minutes.
  3. Melt chocolate chips,  dip a toothpick into it and draw a mouth onto each of the strawberry ghosts.

 

 

Orge eyes hot chocolate

Steps:

  1. Add 1 cup of milk, 1 cup of mint chocolate chips and 1 cup of coca mix to a saucepan and stir over a low heat until the chocolate chips are melted. Then add 900g of milk to the saucepan and heat through.
  2.  Cut a slit in 16 marshmallows and insert a square of plain chocolate.  Put a lollipop stick into the marshmallows and through the chocolate.
  3. Pour the hot cocoa into 8 mugs and put two of the marshmallows into each cup.
